The result though is another blow to our title hopes as we have now dropped six points in the last three games.
In truth it was a game we had enough chances to win, Daryl Cooper-Smith went close on 8 minutes after good work by Twum, and the roles were reversed midway through the half when Cooper-Smith released Twum but his shot narrowly crept passed the upright.
Rovers had a glorious chance to take the lead on the half hour when a handball gave them a penalty, but Phil Page saw his effort well saved by the Balham keeper.
The hosts struck early in the second half when a quickly taken free kick caught us napping and the ball was headed home from close range. We continued to press and had a couple of chance cleared off the line, and you got the idea it would not be our night.
With five minutes remaining substitute Aidan Brown played the ball beyond the keeper and Twum was on hand to fire home.
Debutant Callum McAllister saw red in stoppage time for speaking out of turn to the official, and we ended up settling for a point.
We do remain top of the table, and on course for our highest ever finish, but we are only four points ahead of Chertsey Town and they now have five games in hand.
