A's on fire

By Gary Brigden

The Sunday A's were in fine form this weekend, securing a 5-2 win over AFC Rio, which leaves their promotion hopes firmly in their own hands.

A double from Dave Young, plus additional strikes from Michael Murray, Zack Hilliard-Winyard, and from an unlikely source in Sam Blowers, did the damage and keeps their promotion hopes in their grasp.

We currently sit in 4th spot in the table, three points off third placed Alexandra Utd Irons, but with three games in hand, and five points off second placed AFC Ewell with four games in hand (AFC Ewell having completed their season).

Next up is a huge clash against Mondial, before we face Erskine Rovers and West Woking Wanderers Reserves. The season ends against Sporting Santos, and could potentially be a promotion decider.
