Bostik 18's win thriller

Jamie Decruz saw his U18 Bostik side outlast a good East Grinstead Town side last night, winning by 5-3 in a hugely enjoyable fixture.

The first half saw the lads strike on ten minutes through Oliver Thompson, but the visitors were level midway through the half, and despite both sides best efforts, the teams went in level at the break.

We started the second half brightly and two goal in a five minute spell just before the hour, from Tyreke Hollingsworth and Charlie Moore put us 3-1 ahead, and when Sid Dack added a fourth on 75 minutes it looked like game over.

However East Grinstead were made of stern stuff and reduced the arrears on 77 minutes, and when they scored again a minute later, it was game on.

Both sides continued to go for it, and it was us who struck the decisive goal, when Holingsworth hit his second with five minutes remaining, to give us an excellent hard fought 5-3 win.
