Firsts go goal crazy
The first team was back in action this time hosting Staines Town in the first round of the Southern Combination Cup.
There was a lot of changes in the team for this game with Darren Osei and Marc Agou making their debuts. We also had four teenagers in the starting line-up and five more on the bench.
We started of very strong winning the first freekick of the game with only 9 minutes on the clock. With a great delivery from the freekick the ball was headed back across goal finding its way to Robbie Hendry to open up the goal scoring.
In the 17th minute we doubled our lead after a great cross was put into the box to find Jodan Gallagher wide open in the box to volley home his first of the game without any pressure.
In the 27th minute Kyle Henry got his first of the game when he was able to connect onto a decent corner to be able to slot past the Staines keeper extending our lead to 3-0
Only a minute later did we find our fourth of the game with Henry getting his second of the game when he was able to collect the ball and create some space to slot home after the ball was being knocked around in the box by both sets of players.
The game calmed down for the next 15 minutes with neither side really doing anything.
In the 44th minute Henry completed his hattrick after managing to create some space in the middle of the box to get his shot of into the left bottom corner giving the keeper no chance,
Half time came around and a very decent first half from the guys giving us a very commanding lead of five goals
At the start of the second half we made our first substitution with Matt Ferdiando being replaced by Ben Senior
In the 55th minute we made our second substitution of the game with Malachi Robison being replaced by Ryan Steadman-Hoyte who is making his debut for the first team
In the 60th minute we made our third and final change of the night with Robbie Hendry being replaced by Kristian Wynter.
With 20 minutes gone in the second half not much has happened the game has slowed down with bow teams not really trying to play any attacking football.
With 69 minutes on the clock Gallagher picked the ball up outside the box and was able to find some space to get his shot of smashing home his second of the game and our sixth of the game so far.
Five minutes later in the 74th minute Gallagher finished of his hattrick heading home from a cross to complete our second hattrick of the night and put us seven goals up.
Three minutes later and we had extended our lead to eight goals when Dan Dean was able to slot home from close range from a corner.
In the 84th minute Wynter put his pace to effect to be able to pick the ball up our on the left side of the box and be able to get pass a few Staines defenders to create some space in the middle of the box to slot the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal. The keeper managed to get down to the ball but only able to get his arm to it.
Only a minute later Wynter was able to slot home his second of the game putting us into double digits.
Full time came around and what a game by the lads, both halves of the game being goal fests with each producing five goals.
