Poor run continues for the firsts
Lacklustre second half follows a bright effort in the first
The first team was back in action two days after picking up our second loss of the season so far. They were missing three players with Aaron Bogle, Matt Ferdinando starting out their suspensions and Daryl Cooper-smith finishing his off
There were not many changes for this game although both Arnold Okiror and Callum MacLean were making their first appearance this season.
The first half we a very quiet half with neither team really doing anything to open the game up, both teams were still trying to find their footing in the game still after 34 minutes.
The first half ended with the game still being goalless with both teams struggling to finish of any attacked that they were able to create. Redhill had created most chances of the half with them either being closed down by good defending or the chance being put wide, the game was still all to play for in the second half.
We started the second half off much livelier then Redhill, we were able to win a freekick in the 46th minute but the resulting freekick only ended up with it going out for a Redhill goal kick
The first booking of the game came in the 49th minute when a yellow card was shown to a Redhill player for a foul on Ollie Twum
Three minutes later in the 52nd minute Redhill took the lead from a corner when the Tony Halsey managed to get in front of Ellaway to head home at the near post to take the lead
We received our first booking of the game in the 53rd minute when Maclean was shown a yellow card for a foul. We made our first substitute in the 54th minute with Okiror being replaced by Jamie Pearson, another debutant
We picked up our second booking of the game in the 64th minute when Adam Allen was shown a yellow card for a foul on a Redhill player when they were attacking. With 19 minutes left we made our second change of the game with Matt Auletta coming on to replace Kristian Wynter.
We picked up our third and final booking of the game in the 73rd minute when Robinson was booked for simulation after going down on the edge of the box
Fiive minutes later in the 78th minute Redhill extended their lead after Steve Burford fired home their second goal of the game, making it harder for us to come back into the game
We made our third and final change in the 79th minute with Rob Hendry being replaced by Jeff Addo-Dankwa
The last ten minutes of the game as quiet with Redhill sitting back defending to see out the game and us trying to find a way through to create any chance we could to try find our way back into the game.
The game finish 2-0 to Redhill, giving us our third straight loss of the season. A good first half from the lads but a very lacklustre second half.
Thanks again to Scott for the report
