The First team are back in league action this weekend and they head off to Badshot Lea for another crucial Isthmian South Central fixture.
Our last two games have seen narrow defeats, in the league against Westfield and velocity Cup against Ascot Utd, where we have been very competitive, but just not had the breaks in front of goal. The workrate and effort is there but sometimes you need that little bit of luck.
Badshot have had a tough start to the season and currently sit in bottom spot in the table, with one point from five games, but we know from past matches they are always dangerous opponents and particularly tough to break down at home.
Last season we met on three occasions. An Aaron Jenkins goals gave us a share of the spoils at home, in a 1-1 draw, whilst a lone Isy Nzelo goal gave us a 1-0 win at their place.
It was a different story in the FA Trophy, where Badshot came out on top in an eight goal thriller, our three goals, in a 5-3 defeat, coming from Nzelo, Conan Torpey and Max Oldham.
It should be a cracker tomorrow.
