Despite a battling effort, a much changed U18’s with a lot of players playing their first game in the Isthmian Youth competitions, bowed out of the Isthmian Youth Cup, going down 5-1 away at Hampton & Richmond Borough.

A Robele Nalbo goal in the first half had helped the lads go in at the break level at 1-1, and playing well, however we fell behind in the second half when a long clearance saw a good strike and save by our keeper, only for the ball to rebound to the forward to head home.

With tired legs kicking in, the final twenty minutes saw Hampton take full control, and eventually pull away to pick up a 5-1 win.

It’s a quick turnaround for the boys, as they host Sheppey Utd in the Isthmian Youth League East division on Wednesday night.
