In last Monday’s Isthmian Youth East fixture the lads turned in an excellent performance to see of Chatham Town by three goals to nil.

If the management were concerned about a hangover from the defeat against Oxford Utd in the FA Youth Cup, they need not have been. We started brightly, knocking the ball around nicely and were rewarded in the 15th minute when Bobby Moore found Harry McKnight and he fired us ahead.

We were controlling the game well, although we did have to keep on our toes to prevent Chatham from getting back into the game and we took a one goal lead into the half time break.

Our lead was increased early in the second half, when Moore picked up the ball in the middle of the park, drove forward and fired home.

We completed the scoring late on with a Callum Firth thunderbolt.

NExt up for the lads is next Monday’s trip to Tonbridge Angels.
