Despite a battling effort the Under 23’s slipped to a 4-0 defeat away at highly rated Hastings Utd in their opening Bluefin Insurance Development fixture.
We fell behind ten minutes into the game, and were 2-0 down on the stroke of half time when Hastings converted a penalty.
Two further goals in the second half mean we start our campaign with a loss.
This is what we want though, the lads to be playing at a good standard week in week out, and learning far more than they would be winning every week. This will help shape their footballing futures.
