Joint manager Lee Flavin today decided to step away from his Management role, but will however continue to play for the Rovers
Lee came on board midway through last season, and his no nonsense, forthright attitude proved a hit with players and spectators, and he bought an energy to the club that had been lacking at times over the course of the season.
Lee moved up to join Darren as joint manager at the start of the season and was instrumental in a lot of our pre-season recruitment, bringing some top quality players into the squad.
Lee also proved invaluable on the social media side of things, effectively taking over the running of the Twitter account, and ensuring our content remained fresh and up to date.
Joint Manager Darren Salmon said: “Lee through personal reasons has taken the difficult decision to step away from management at this time but remains committed to the project that he has worked so hard to help realise and he remains very much part of the furniture.
Lee will be looking to concentrate on the playing side of things and will be available for selection for the weekends squad.
Lee, thank you – your unrivalled support, effort and energy remains invaluable…””
