The U18’s head off to EFL League 1 academy side Oxford Utd in the First Round of this seasons FA Youth Cup this evening.
Having fought hard to progress through four rounds in the competition, thanks to wins over Steyning Town (8-0), Redhill (5-0), Eastbourne Borough (5-1) and a tough tough fixture against a very strong Marlow side 2-1, the lads have been rewarded with one of the top draws they could have got.
Oxford Utd have a proven youth policy, with over 100 players in the last 30 years having gone on to play for the first team.
The lads will be under no illusions of the task that lies ahead of them, but we have some cracking players in the squad, and if they all perform to their best, then we can give anyone a good game.
It is cup football, a chance to make club history, and a chance to cause an upset.
