FIRSTS SECURE ISTHMIAN SURVIVAL

In pre-season the club was heavily tipped to not only finish bottom of the pile but some had us barely picking up a point, and whilst a bright start saw us pick up a first day win, we were still struggling to get any kind of run going.

We continued to struggle and were in real danger of dropping into the automatic relegation places, and at that point there looked to be no way back.

However a fantastic end to the season which saw us lose just twice in our last ten games, and actually be in 7th spot in the form guide from the final ten games gave us half a chance.

However we were grateful to a Max Oldham goal in our final game to keep us out of the automatic relegation places.

That set up today’s fixture with Crawley Down Gatwick, runners up in the Southern Combination Premier Division.
