Despite a battling effort against many peoples title favourites Leatherhead FC the first team slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Whyteleafe Sports Arena.

Leatherhead moved the ball around nicely and dominated lots of possession in the first half, without really troubling James Dillon, and it was Rovers who probably had the best chance of the first half, but Aaron Jenkins, having done superbly to beat the full back just ran the ball out of play.

The only goal of the game came two minutes into first half stoppage time, when a driven ball into our area was turned beyond Dillon by Bertie Lloyd (in fairness to Lloyd a Leatherhead player was behind him and would have probably fired home anyway).

Both sides had chances in an entertaining second period but there was no further scoring and the visitors moved to the top of the table courtesy of the 1-0 win.
