POINTS GO WEST AS VISITORS SEE OFF ROVERS

The First team slumped to a fifth defeat in six games were they turned in a tepid performance against an in-form Westfield side on Saturday.

The visitors struck on ten minutes when after a spell of pressure, a technically lovely volley (according to X) by Alfie Huckle put them 1-0 up.

We continued to be on the back foot, and it was no surprise when Westfield increased their lead, a neat turn and low cross being turned home by Jacob Breckon.

Half time came with the visitors two goals to the good.

Mack Reilly replaced Gabriel Odunaike as we looked to get back into the game, and shortly after Max Oldham replaced Antony Ogbanufe, but it was to no avail and Westfield sealed the win with just over fifteen minutes remaining.

This time it was another neat finish from the edge of the area, by Mayowa Adaje.
