Despite a dominant first half performance, the first team slipped to another defeat on Tuesday night when going down 2-1 in a local derby against South Park Reigate.

Rovers had much the better of the first half, restricting the hosts to sporadic counter attacks through their rapid wide men, but were unable to force an opening and the sides went in level at the break.

South Park were a different side in the second half, and soon had Rovers on the back foot, and eventually opened the scoring through Sam King on 62 minutes and five minutes later the same player capitalised on Rovers defence switching off to increase their lead.

With the game becoming more fractious, Rovers eventually pulled a goal back on 82 minutes when a long Ben Holden throw was headed beyond his own keeper by Jack Tucker.

The Sparks were reduced to ten men late on when former SCR man Ryan Healy saw red, but Rovers were unable to force an equaliser.
