Rovers miserable run continued on Saturday when they slipped to a 1-0 defeat away in Guernsey.

Darren and Sam rang the changes, including handing debuts to Joshua Okpolokpo and Dion Macfoy-Johnston.

Rovers conceded on 13 minutes when Samuel Murray fired home from close range after Rovers had failed to clear a corner.

Rovers responded positively and from a Tyler Cox break, a mistimed Jacob Falliaze challenge earnt the home defender a booking but halted Rovers progression and from the free kick Josh Addison failed to gather but no attacker was on hand to level.

Guernsey continued to probe, but the Rovers backline was holding firm. On 44 minutes Okpolokpo found his way into the referees book, a decision that was to have second half ramifications for the Rovers debutant.

Early in the second half and Okpolokpo picked up a second yellow to reduce Rovers to ten men, but this seemed to galvanise the side and they pressed on in search of an equaliser.

Brandon Wallace went close to increasing the Guernsey lead but Rovers were putting decent deliveries into the home box without any final touch.

Ten minutes from time and Tyler Cox found substitute Tyrese Sutherland but his effort was saved by Josh Addison in the Guernsey goal.

And the final chance to get back into the game fell to Zaid Ouaret Sorr, who after further good work by Cox saw his effort saved, and ensured Rovers miserable run continued.
