Code of Conduct

Sutton Common Rovers Football Club expect players, family, spectators, managers and coaches to adhere to the following conditions of the codes of conduct at all times.

Players

(General)

•Players must provide their own equipment (except match day kit or training kit, where supplied by the club) suitable for games/training.
•Players must wear appropriate footwear suitable for the games/training playing conditions.
•All players must provide suitable footwear for use in the changing / showering areas.
•The management will not tolerate any form of bullying.
•All players shall refrain from the use of foul and abusive language on and off the field of play whilst representing the club.
•All players shall refrain from violent conduct on and off the field of play whilst representing the club.
•All players will refrain from using any performance enhancing substance.
•All issued Football Kit, Bags, Training Kits etc will remain the property of Mole Valley SCR unless clearly stated or personally purchased. Damage or loss of any of these said items will result in the individual issued with then being responsible for the replacement of any such item(s).
•Players dropping out for what ever reason from Friday onwards will not automatically be selected for the following week’s games unless there is sufficient free space and they must advise their team manger of their availability at least 48hours prior to the match.
•Following the breach of club rules/code of conduct and depending on the degree of this breach, two verbal warnings will be issued before club membership is terminated. In the event of a serious breach the committee will at its discretion have the authority to terminate membership with immediate effect.

(Match Days)

•Players must confirm their availability in the manner and time scale stipulated by their team manager.
•Players are expected to be punctual and arrive at the playing ground no later than 60 minutes before kick off (Saturday sides, others may vary as decided by team managers).
All squad members should be ready to “warm up” 20 minutes minimum before kickoff (Saturday sides, may vary as decided by team managers).
•Shin pads must be worn at all times.
•In match situations socks are to cover the shin pads at all times.
•Footwear to be clean and may be inspected before matches.
•During the game, players are encouraged not to engage in conversation with the referee, assistant referees, players of the opposition and supporters.
•Players are encouraged to be courteous and sporting to the opposition, irrespective of the result during and at the end of a game.
•Players are expected to show respect for the clubs management and listen only to instructions provided by the team managers and appointed team coaches.

(Training days)

•Players must confirm their availability in the manner and time scale stipulated by their team manager.
•Players should be prepared to participate, equipped with the necessary kit at the designated start time.

Managers/Coaches

•Managers/Coaches are expected to show respect for all officials, the opposition players, management and supporters, and their own supporters and players.
•Managers/Coaches will not use and will not condone the use of foul and abusive language.
•Managers/Coaches will not engage in nor condone the use of violent conduct.
•Managers/Coaches must ensure that the correct kit and footwear suitable for the conditions is worn by players in training and on match days.
•Managers/Coaches are expected to lead by example and be punctual for training and match days.
•Personal presentation is important and footwear and kit is to be clean at all times.
•Managers/Coaches must not condone or promote the use of performance enhancing substances to players.
•Players with minor injuries should be removed from the field of play where possible, if in the opinion of the player it is not possible to “run it off”.
•Managers/Coaches are responsible for all kit provided by the club.
•Managers/Coaches shall only encourage the promotion of fair play and not condone violations and behaviour contrary to the laws of the game.
•A manager must not play a player that he considers unfit/unwell.
•Managers/Coaches should not need to be responsible for the carriage of players to and from training/games unless they individually agree to do so.
•Managers/Coaches will not be responsible for accompanying injured players to medical assistance.
•Managers/Coaches must at all times behave in a manner that does not bring the club into disrepute with the games governing bodies.
•Managers/Coaches will aim to achieve the expectations of the club, players and spectators.

MANAGER / COACH

Spectators / Family Members

•Spectators / Family Members & Parents (SFMP) are expected to show respect for the management coaches, all officials, the opposition and their supporters and above all their own players.
•The use of violent conduct and foul and abusive language is strictly forbidden.
•Appointed management and first aid personnel only may enter the field of play in the event of any injury.
•SFMP are forbidden to enter the changing room area unless by specific request of the management and coaches.
•SFMP are encouraged to promote fair play and not condone violations and behaviour contrary to the laws of the game.
•Any SFMP who brings the good name of the club into disrepute through word or action will be removed from the pitch or ground.

Club Rules
Status of Rules

•These rules (the Code of Conduct) form a binding agreement between each member of the club.

•The club shall have the status of an Affiliated Member Club of The Football association by virtue of its affiliation to The Football Association. The Rules and Regulations of The Football Association Limited and the parent County Association and any League or Competition to which the Club is affiliated for the time being shall be deemed to be incorporated into the Club Rules.

•The Club will also abide by the Football Association’s Respect, Code of Conduct, Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Policy.

•All Club members will be given a copy of the Club’s specific Code of Conduct when they join and will be expected to adhere to it at all times when representing the Club. All members will be asked to sign an undertaking to that effect.

•The club rules are not exhaustive and anything not covered in the Constitution or Code of Conduct will be dealt with by the Management Committee.
